“Nirmata” is Nepalese? I am sure it is Sanskrit, which is apparently the best human language in which to code artificial intelligence. Nevertheless, let us see what this movie has in store for us.

It’s a little on the nose, naming the Creator in Sanskrit, but then when you name the undercover operative’s partner Maya, we are lured into an illusion. Yet, even though I have suspended my disbelief to appreciate ‘science fiction’ as I always want to, it seems this movie is a bit boring.

5 years is the same time jump as the blip in the MCU - the marvel cinematic universe. The next part is The Child, and boy, don’t I know about that first hand with Adwitya! Bringing Up Baby is quite the ride, and easily the most intricate thing I have ever done, mainly because I am fully hands-on daddy mode. The biggest challenge is to not let it impact my work, which is why remote work is the wave of the future. Speaking of the future, this movie has none, lol.

So I am not going to waste more time with this review, except to say that I did not enjoy The Creator at all. I thought it was going to be an awesomax action thriller with some deep thought - shout out to the one & only Douglas Adams, RIP, creator of the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy!

Instead, I got a vapid drama with some nice CGI, but nothing that can beat the latest Star Wars. So, in conclusion, watch The Creator to get sleepy or bored or both.
