Tell me something: the year is 2021, isn't it? Someone tell the Euros, who are still stuck in stupid 2020, refusing to change their branding because it's the 60-year anniversary of the tournament and they wanted to maintain tradition!

Kidding apart, this decision was actually taken because rebranding would generate a lot of waste - and that is an excellent decision for our fragile Earth!

Hello fellow Red Devils, the EPL schedule for the new season that starts one day before my birthday, 15th August, is out, and our first opponents will be Leeds United, playing at the iconic Theatre of Dreams, our home stadium, Old Trafford! England – The 3 lions have 4 Red Devils in their Euro 2020 squad, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson, rock solid defender Harry Maguire, in-form Luke Shaw and the pride of our Academy, MBE Marcus Rashford.

France – Paul Pogba, our volatile, unpredictable number 6, who scored 6 goals & provided 6 assists in the 2020-2021 season of the EPL.

Portugal – Bruno Fernandes, our good luck charm, talisman, whatever you wanna name him.

Spain – David de Gea, our number 1 who has been dipping in and out of form, unfortunately for us Manchester United fans.

Scotland – Scott McTominay, the wonder boy who etched his name in Manchester United fans’ memories with that last minute long ranger against arch rivals Manchester City in March 2020.

Netherlands – Donny van de Beek, the diminutive midfielder who has been vying for a place on the first XI but is still getting used to English football and the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer methodology of football.

Sweden – Victor Lindelof, our main defender & Harry Maguire’s partner on most occasions (except when Maguire was not playing due to injury).

Wales – Daniel James, the sprinter winger who scored the last of 9 goals against Southampton.

This ten team tournament is being hosted by current champions Brazil. Their squad has two Manchester United players, Fred in the playing XI and Alex Telles sitting out, while talisman matador Cavani was in the Uruguay team that lost 1-0 to Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
