Star Wars The Bad Batch Reviews by Axat

May the Force be with you, my fellow Star Warriors! Episodes 6 and 7 of The Bad Batch were named quite literally, Infiltration and Extraction. The team pulls itself together to survive the base getting infiltrated, and encourages other clones to join in the fight against Doctor Hemlock while being extracted. Hemlock, as I have mentioned before in my earlier reviews, which you should watch, is the name of the poison that Socrates, the ancient Greek philosopher, was forced to drink. Episode 8 begins where episode 7 ended. It is named Bad Territory, and we soon find out why.

Just the name Fennec Shand is enough to pique the interest of Star Warriors, because Ming-Na Wen has truly made the character her own after The Mandalorian. She was also great as the stoic Melinda May in Agents of SHIELD. Anyway, Hunter and Wrecker go after her to know more about M-count, which is short for midichlorian count, which measures how much potential a creature has for manipulating the Force, because midichlorians are tiny Force beings that live inside each and every one of our cells. It;s actually not that far-fetched if you consider the scale of the human body. Also, I have mentioned the m-counts of several major characters like Darth Vader slash Anakin Skywalker and Yoda as well as Baby Yoda or Grogu, after whom my little daughter is nicknamed, and she also tries to use the Force by extending her hand like THIS.

Ok, back to The Bad Batch. Hunter, Wrecker, and Fennec Shand go on a mission that starts off like Heart of Darkness, which is the Joseph Conrad book about old Africa that inspired parts of Apocalypse Now, the war movie about Vietnam that also had Charlie Sheen’s dad’s histrionics.

Meanwhile, Crosshair tries to get his groove back as far as sniping is concerned, with mental help from Omega and Batcher the lurca dog expy. Also, do NOT get into TV Tropes unless you really want to ruin your life, and I mean that completely seriously. This is a sarcastic comment.

Almost, but not quite, equally sarcastic is the juxtaposition of physical violence to capture the target required by Fennec Shand and the calm meditation practiced by Omega and Crosshair.

Halfway through the season, we are seeing some good convergence with the overall Star Wars plotlines. Let’s see what the rest of the season has for us, including leading up to The Acolyte!

That is a new live action series coming soon on Disney Plus Hotstar, so stay tuned for more updates and reviews and lots more fun! Thanks for watching, and smash that sub button! Ciao!

Hello my fellow Star Warriors! Episode 9 takes us deeper into midichlorian territory, as Omega gets her m-count tested by none other than another fan favorite, Asajj Ventress from The Clone Wars. Trivia: the voice actress, Nika Futterman, did the smash hit “Give it to me baby” vocals in Pretty Fly For A White Guy by The Offspring! Even though Omega doesn’t really ace the test, The Bad Batch now know that they have to get moving to avoid the Empire catching up to them!

Thanks for watching my one-minute review and may the force be with you! Watch my other videos and smash that sub button for awesomax fun! This IS the channel you want to subscribe to!
